Experience country just a little bit from the city. Dellwood Barn Weddings, located just northeast of White Bear Lake, is a unique wedding space with a charming barn and beautiful outdoor ceremony site.

We recently had the privilege of providing DJ and ceremony sound system services for Corey and Kelby. The first person to greet us at the venue was the owner of Dellwood Farms; Julie. Julie immediately made us feel welcomed and provided a guided tour of the layout of the barn and grounds. It was easy to see what attracts couples to have their wedding here.

The barn is perfectly renovated inside and out with updated lighting, heating and air conditioning and full-service bar. Don’t worry – they’ve done a great job of keeping the rustic charm!

Just up the hill from the barn is the ceremony site where we setup our sound equipment. Wireless microphones for the bride, groom, and officiant, plus speakers for the ceremony music selected by the bride. Chairs are situated for guests to face the wide-open acreage of the property. There is a double doorway placed in the background where the couple will stand to exchange vows. The doorway seems to represent a door to the future of possibilities and milestones.

The ceremony begins with the bride’s choice of ceremony music.

Starting with the processional songs:

  • Beautiful Every Time – Lee Brice
  • The One- Gary Allen

Followed by the bride’s entrance song:

  • Mean to Me [instrumental] – Brett Eldredge

Ending the ceremony with a rowdy fun song to send off the Bride, Groom and Wedding Party:

  • Kickstart My Heart- Motley Crue (0:37 seconds into start)

Once the ceremony ends, Corey and Kelby greeted each guest with heartfelt hugs and thank-yous for having attended their ceremony.

Everyone heads to the barn where cocktail hour awaits the guest with soft background music.  Dinner is served along with speeches by the Matron of Honor, Best Man, Bridesmaid, Father of the Bride. and the Groom.

After dinner the dance floor is open to the Bride & Groom for their first dance followed by the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dance.

Tyler B. starts the dance taking requests and mixing music from the couple’s playlist. As always, a wide variety of music is needed when 250 guests are ready to dance the night away.

The dance floor is packed all night.  We think to ourselves this is why we do what we do! What better feeling is it to see happy guests having a great time at a fantastic venue on a fall night in October.

We pause do take care of the Bouquet Toss as a mad scramble ensues to catch Kelby’s bouquet. Then it’s back to dancing until everyone has to say their goodbyes.

A truly special and memorable wedding to cherish for years and years to come. Thank you for letting us be a part of it Kelby & Corey!!!
